How the movement works
Use it to give an arriving element energy and a springy feel.
- 01One pass per 4.7 s. Semicircular gauge (radius 128, stroke 26). Target is 0.7 of the sweep (126° from the left end).
- 02Starts at 0.25 s: value = 0.7 × (1 − e^(−4.6t)·cos(10.5t)). About 0.3 s later it is roughly 25% past the target, then it oscillates and settles on the target.
- 03The part beyond the target is drawn in coral. A yellow tick marks the target.
- 04The filled arc is a blue→mint gradient; the needle is white, width 9.
- 05Return: from 3.7 s, value = 0.7 × e^(−7.5t)·cos(8.5t) back to 0 (dipping slightly below 0 before it stops).
Prompt
Give the gauge needle an overshoot: about 10% past the target, then back.
