How the movement works
Use it on hand-drawn illustrations, icons or lettering to make even a still picture feel drawn by hand.
- 01A still line drawing (a yellow star, a white cloud, mint sparkle strokes, a faint ground line). Line widths 6–8, round caps.
- 02The drawing does not move. 47 times per 4.7 s (about every 0.1 s) every point is redrawn with a fixed random offset of up to ±3.5 px in x and in y.
- 03Each line is first turned into a row of points (every 6–13 px; 96 points round the cloud) and drawn as quadratic curves through the midpoints between them, so it wobbles like hand-drawn frames.
- 04The offsets are a hash of the frame number and the point number, so the same frame always looks the same.
Prompt
Add line boil to the hand-drawn illustration: 10 frames per second, with the lines shifting only 2–3 px.
